Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate and compare multiple talents of the sighted and blind male students in Tehran’s guidance schools.
Method: This study is a survey. The statistical population of this study includes all the sighted students and blind students of Tehran’s Guidance schools. Stratified sampling for the sighted and available sampling for the blind has been used in this study (60 blind and 60 sighted students) .Gardner multiple talents questionnaire has been applied. The obtained data was analyzed and compared using the independent t-test between two groups.
Results: The results show that no statistically significant differences exist between the two groups regarding their talents (p>%5).
Conclusion and recommendations: The blind, though lacking visual ability, are able to compensate for the deficit through other senses. It is highly recommended that the blind’s capabilities be identified and taken into account in education.

This research is aimed at assessing and comparing the degree of emotional intelligence, self- esteem, and depression in crime victim and non-victim girls aged between 15 and 18. The sample includes 31 crime victims living in the Welfare and Rehabilitation Organization of Tehran and 31 non-victim girls who have interaction with them as visitors. They are selected via convenience sampling and homogenized in terms of age and education. The data are gathered by applying Cooper's Emotional Intelligence, Beck's Depression Inventory, Cooper Smith Self- Esteem Questionnaire. The results indicated that girls who are crime victims have high depression, low self-esteem and emotional intelligence scores, though the scores are not pathologically low. Based on the findings of this research, parents are recommended to learn about emotional intelligence abilities and apply them on their daughters who are likely to be victims of social harms.

Objective: The aim of this research is to assess the auditory information processing in blind adolescents.
Method: The present study is an applied research carried out by field research methodology. 15 blind and 15 sighted students (aged from 14 to 16) of high schools in Tehran and suburbs were selected. In order to assess the speed of auditory information processing, both sample groups were tested using two versions of Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test (PASAT2.8 & PASAT1.6). The data were analyzed by T (independent) statistical test.
Results: Blind students didn’t show any significant difference with sighted ones in PASAT 2.8 (α= 0.05); however, they showed a highly significant difference in PASAT 1.6 (α= 0.05). In other words, blind students performed better than sighted ones.
Conclusion: The results indicate that when it comes to auditory information processing speed, performance of blind students is relatively better than sighted ones in PASAT test. The faster the presentation of stimulus, the more significant is the difference of their performance.
Recommendations: Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that when educating blind students, teachers should pay attention to their special abilities in processing auditory information and lay more stress on educating these students by relying on their auditory abilities.

The present research aims at studying attachment parenting style and the theory of mind in 8 to11 year-old students with intellectual disability in Gonabad City. Statistical population of this causal-comparative research includes all intellectually disabled students in an exceptional school (Gonabad city, Alavian school), all of whom were selected as sample. Descriptive and deductive methods(independent T test) were applied for data analysis. Findings show that there is no significant relationship between attachment parenting style and theory of mind in intellectually disabled students that gave correct or incorrect responses (p</005) to assignments.

Objective: The present study aims to acquire more specific information concerning the prediction of creativity in gifted students on the basis of their age, intelligence quotient (IQ), and their parental marital satisfaction. Method: This is a correlation study. The statistical population was the total of all gifted high school students of both special education and regular schools in Tehran, whose intelligence quotients were higher than 120.The sample size consisted of 164male and 166 female students, The sample wa selected through a cluster random sampling.. Raven’s Progressive Matrices Test (IQ) (Raven, 1941), and Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT) (figural form) (Torrance, 2002) were administered among the students and Afrooz Marital Satisfaction Scale (AMSS) (1390) was completed with the student’s parents. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that parental marital satisfaction was an important and significant predictor of children’s creativity. Also, IQ and age were second and third significant predictors of creativity. Conclusion and recommendations: Results indicated that high martial satisfaction of parents and intelligence were good backgrounds for the development and nurturance of creativity in children.

Objective: The study has been conducted to compare the instruction effects of inductive thinking strategy with the traditional teaching approach on school achievement of students with mental retardation. Method: A quasi-experimental design with pre-test post-test plan with control group has been adapted. A sample of 60 subjects were randomly selected from the population of the fifth- grader students of Hamedan special education schools, A representative sample was randomly assigned into two experimental groups and two control groups. (Each included 15 male and 15 female subjects.) Prior to the research phase both groups received a pre-test. Designed for a science course, the experimental group was assigned under the inductive thinking instruction technique and was instructed by well trained teachers for a period of four months. The number of sessions summed up to at least 24 thirty-minute sessions in a Learning Disability Center in Hamedan. Meanwhile, the control group (males and females) received their instructions in a traditionally presented technique of teacher- Student interactions. Results and recommendations: The school performances of both groups were evaluated by a post-test. The findings showed that the amount of the achievement of the students who received the inductive thinking instructions was far higher than the students who took the same science course by the traditional approach.

Aim: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of social skill training on psychological adjustment of Blind male students. This is an experiment study with pre test- post test control group design. The statistical population consisted of all (36) Blind students of middle grades (12to14 years) of Ababasir School in Esfahan as both experimental and control group. A sample of 18 student from each group were chosen from the population, by purposive sampling. Before intervention, the bell's Adjustment inventory (Be, 1967) was administrated to both groups. Afterwards experimental group received social skills training for 16 sessions (60 minutes each) in a period of two month, twice a week. One week after, the training, the post test was given to both groups. Results were analyzed using T test. findings indicated that social training were significantly effective in enhance psychological adjustment (P<0.01). What has been achieved in this research is the effectiveness training in social skills to increase the students psychological adjustment. The possible explanation for the increasing student's psychological adjustment might be due to participation of the experimental group in the social skills training program.
